Pro Arch Mini Residency

This course is designed for colleagues performing enosal implant housing who wish to learn the basic principles of immediate placement and immediate weight-bearing in edentulous mandibles.

This event is tailored for dentists, prosthodontists, periodontologists, oral surgeons, maxillo-facial surgeons who are already placing or restoring implants.

Description

This course is for collegues already placing and/or restoring dental implants, who are interrested in getting to know the basic principles of immediate and implant placement and implant loading following the STRAUMMAN ProArch protocol. 

The course focuses on the clinical (practical) aspects of implant dentistry. You will be able to see the cases from initial consult, through planning up to the provisional reconstruction phase. Treatment planning, CBCT analysis and implant placement planning using a planning software, implant placement, prosthetic procedures, implant recall are on the list of the procedures You will be able to see during your clinical stay at our clinic.

In addition short, very focused lectures will provide You with the essential theoretical background and useful practical tricks for Your daily practice.

Monday

8:30 – 9:00 Participants ‘registration.

9:00- 10:30 LECTURE: Reconstruction of the edentulous, soon to be edentulous jaw according to the STRAUMANN ProArch protocol: main principles of the concept, indications, contraindications, diagnostic routine.

10:30-11:00 Coffee break

11:00-13:00 DEMONSTRATION: Reconstruction of edentulous or soon to be edentulous jaw according to the STRAUMANN ProArch protocol: initial consult, anatomical impressions in edentulous cases, functional impressions in edentulous cases, indications for conventional impressions vs. intraoral scans, CR registration techniques, axiography, electromyography, lateral cephalometric imaging, cone beam computed tomography, virtual planning.

13:00 – 14:00 Lunch 

14:00 – 15:30 PRACTICE: case planning using the CoDiagnostix software

15:30 – 16:00 Coffee break

16:00 – 18:00 LECTURE: Reconstruction of the edentulous, soon to be edentulous jaw according to the STRAUMANN ProArch protocol: Surgical protocol. VIDEO DEMONSTRATION. Clinical case presentation of Fridays first surgery.

Tuesday:

9:00 – 13:00 First live surgery: reconstruction of an edentulous or soon to be edentulous maxilla according to STRAUMANN ProArch protocol.

13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

14:00 – 17:30 Clinical case presentation. First live surgery: reconstruction of an edentulous or soon to be edentulous mandibula according to STRAUMANN ProArch protocol.  Impression and bite registration.

17:30-18:00 Bite registration, face bow recording of the first patient.

In the course of the day: demonstration of laboratory steps.

Wednesday

09:00 – 12:00 Clinical case presentation. Third operation: reconstruction of an edentulous or soon to be edentulous jaw according to STRAUMANN ProArch protocol using guided surgery. Fitting and delivering the temporary prosthesis.

12:00 -13:00 Wax Up try in first and second patient. Laboratory steps demonstration

13:00 – 14:00 Lunch

14:00 – 15:30 LECTURE PROF. BEUER: reconstruction of an edentulous or soon to be edentulous jaw according to STRAUMANN ProArch protocol.: Definitive prosthetics. From temporary to definitive prosthesis step by step.

15:30-16:00 Coffee break

16:00-17:30 DEMONSTRATION AND PRACTICE: Reconstruction of the edentulous, soon to be edentulous  jaw according to the STRAUMANN ProArch protocol on the model (from surgery to transfering the information in to the dental laboratory)

17:30-19:00 Providing a temporary prosthesis to the first and second patient. Closing remarks, Q&A, Certificates.
